I've been trying to change my writing a little so it flows better and doesn't feel as... heavy. Not sure if this work, but I think showing Terrie's reaction via dialogue helped a bit.

I really really enjoyed reading this addition to your story man, it was very well done and a pleasure to read.
I found Terrie's reactions to all the new things to be very humorous and well done - makes me wonder how I'd react seeing all kinds of new things on that scale.
I do like the group dynamic as well, it feels very organic and well rounded with personalities ontop of party roll. I found Marina's teasing of Sean to be quite fun and I think having Terrie be abit confused by a few of their inside jokes was a nice touch as well.
Overall I think you painted a nice warm and happy home coming, and it's definitely a great work to read. Gj bro, ya done good
